Day 15: Zero in Gettysburg

8 June 2016

Start: South Mountain Hotel
Destination: President Inn & Suites (Gettysburg)
Trail Miles: 0
Total Trail Miles: 81.4

Today we dealt with a ton of logistics and waiting and more logistics.  But we called Roger and he picked us up at the post office with all our boxes!  He took us to our hotel in Gettysburg where we both promptly ripped open our bounce boxes and utilized all the lovely home amenities that just aren't practical for the trail.

Roger and his wife offer all kinds of people rides.  They charge about $.50 a mile, or whatever you can pay.  They're a lovely, giving couple and Colt and I both enjoy his company.  His trail name is Squat to Pee.  Ha!

Resupply and Such!
We walked into town to explore and ate lunch at a Blue and Grey.  It was a delicious veggie burger! We moseyed around downtown and met some really interesting people!  Mary Ann and Kurt are retired and are in a Whiskey club, another couple retired and bought a VW Van and this is their first stop.  Yet another couple grew up together, separated after high school, raised their families and are now a couple.  We talked history, politics, the trail.  It was a lovely zero!
